This Hybrid's Story

A medium statured hybrid with good stalks and roots. 10T84 VT2PRIB has a girty, semi-flex ear that works equally well in all yield environments and plant populations. Best in class Anthracnose Stalk Rot tolerance with excellent late-season intactness. Good test weight and drydown with adequate husk cover allow for good northern movement. Strong emergence and early season vigor means planting dates can be moved up to increase yields. Average green snap, Tar Spot, Northern Corn Leaf Blight and Gray Leaf Spot tolerances.

A big, rangy hybrid with wide adaptation from east to west. Excellent emergence and vigor provide great establishment on every farm. Will get to canopy early preserving moisture along with good drought tolerance. In season stalk, greensnap, late season intactness with great defense against stalk rot lead the agronomic list. A long and girthy ear with plenty of flex provides top yield capability and a loose husk at maturity for great drydown. Responds to management as environment potential increases. Outstanding performance in precommercial tests, plant this with a high management mindset. 70G04 has very good early season vigor to canopy with a medium-tall plant. The lower greensnap risk and strong Goss Wilt defense accentuate the western adaptation. It has tolerance to physoderma and anthracnose stalk rot providing solid intactness later in the season. The ear shows good flex, with deep kernels, excelling in below average to average seeding rates. Avoid poorly drained heavy clay soils.
